Day 151--Dragonball

I am a big fan of Chow Yun-Fat and Jackie Chan. I love martial arts movies and the stop motion movie style of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I was wandering Times Square and had some time on my hands. I decided to see Dragon Evolution. It featured unknown actors and Chow Yun-Fat had a minor role.

The movie is a newish reworking of the Karate Kid style story with the end of the world thrown in for good measure. I don’t want to give away the plot but a group of rag-tag friends/acquaintances team together to save the world.

The movie is a fast paced movie with a lot of action and stop motion fighting. I enjoyed the movie very much. The plot is a little thin and it is easy to predict how and what will happen. The unknown actors provided interesting but unchallenging acting. At 100 minutes, it just about fills that time.
